Heartland Recreation Commission

The Heartland Recreation Commission is a partnership formed between the communities of MacGregor and North Norfolk. The Commission has a part-time Recreation Director, who has office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The mission of Heartland Recreation is to encourage the development of social, recreational, artistic and cultural opportunities in order to enhance the wellness of our communities, no matter your age or ability. These opportunities include aerobic classes, evening sport events, children's programming and regular popular sport nights. Other programming includes art, such as dance classes, and many children's programs, especially throughout the summer months.

The Recreation Director is also available to provide information about grants for various groups, be they service groups or non-profit groups or sport groups. The Director also acts as a liaison between local groups and the Provincial and Federal governments with regards to programs and grant administration.
